Liquid Oil Treatment

Mineral Oils and other petroleum hydrocarbons (PHCs) and substantial wastewater environmental pollutants and cannot be discharged to the environment.

Here at BKP, we have a bespoke site treatment permit supported by specialist equipment to treat a variety of waste streams, including oily water, to maximise the recovery of the waste.

How does it work?

The oily water is first discharged into a reception tank, containing fine screens to remove solids from the liquid. It is then pumped into the heated oil & waste separation system, where the liquid is heated with a 150kw two stage burner to efficiently separate the oil and water. The waste waters are sent for conventional wastewater treatment and the oils are separated for recovery.

Our recovered oils are either used as a substitute for fossil fuels in coprocessing of cement or re-refined to produce a secondary product depending on the chemical composition.

BKP has a fleet of vehicles designed to transport bulk liquids and other hazardous materials to provide collection services alongside the treatment of your waste.
